Back to Aircraft Listings | | More Information about the ASTRA 1125SP Aircraft | | Serial number 73 is a model 1125SPX.
The Astra 1125 is IAI's radical redesign of the Westwind; only the tail and engine nacelles are shared. Notable is the Astra's Sigma 2 swept-back, low-mounted wing with no tip tanks; a high-speed/long-range wing with leading edge slats and air brakes. The Astra is more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly than the Westwind, while being faster and superior in takeoff/landing/climb performance. A Supplemental Type Certification will be available for RVSM in the 4th quarter of 2002.
1125 & 1125SP standard equipment: Grumman thrust reversers, de-ice boots, anti-skid brakes, single-point refueling, two-bottle engine fire extinguishing, 100-gallon removable fuel bag, Collins Pro Line II avionics, aft baggage.
1125SP (Special Performance): Optional Garrett GTCP 36-150W APU, Collins APS-85 autopilot, dual Collins EFIS-86 (EFIS-85A) | |
